Contributors transfer copyright of their work to Bristol Student Housing Co-operative Limited when they submit it.

The ability for future members of the co-op to distribute and edit content written by previous members is key to operation of the co-op. Assigning copyright to the co-op is one way to achieve this. Another way would be to use a Creative Commons or copyleft license (with exceptions for things like logos), which seems more in the co-op spirit and could be useful for sharing policies and such. However, this would require a more detailed policy and associated discussion within the co-op.
